Leo dropped off his transit for the addition of solar panels, LPG underslung gas, internal leisure electrics and a set of new windows.
The van was an LWB high roof version with plenty of room underneath for the gas tank (I like working on transits – such good ground clearance).
The windows fitted to this transit where the Van Pimps ones. I installed a fixed window in the door and an opening window in the wall on the driver’s side as Leo was planning a desk along that side of the van.
To ensure we kept the fillings down to a minimum I got the opportunity to play with my new sheet metal nibbler and this made the window job much easier. Highly recommend the investment if you are planning to install your own windows.
The kit from Van Pimps was great but they don’t sell double skin U channel to the public (only trade) and I’d suggest hunting for this elsewhere so you end up with a neater job at the end.
